The tool I spoke about in my last post has been fixed (with some fancy code and hosting changes).
I’ve been accused of naming our tools corny names, so in the spirit of that, I’ve named this one
The Neat-O Backlink Tool
Checks URL’s linking in and Link Text
This tool finds the first backlink from each domain linking in, and then checks the link text on that page.
-
If you see "TIMED OUT" that means that the page took too long to load for some reason, so we skipped that page (to make the tool quicker)
-
If you see "NOT FOUND" that means your link is no longer on that page, but it once was there. (and may be on other pages of that domain now….or not)
There are bugs and there are flaws, but for a while, the way the tool runs now will be the way it will for a while. This tool comes with Zero support (but hey, it’s free). For me, the way it runs is good eneough for now, we’ve got to move on to other future cool tools.
Keep in mind, like the google toolbar, this tool is for entertainment purposes only 😉

Backlink Anchor Text Analizer
Nice backlink anchor text analyzing tool from Jim of WeBuildPages.
As simple as it goes, this powerful tool seems to use the Yahoo! API, takes the url and works the magic.

[…] Two days ago Jim Boykin wrote about their new tool, which had some bugs, so I decided to wait till its fixes. Wasn’t too long – the tool came out of beta today. Check out Neat-O Backlink Tool – the tool finds pages linked to your domain and tells what anchor text is being used in your link. More details on the tool in Jim’s blog. […]
