Digital Dojo: Batman Might Need A Lawyer

Each day, it seems like there are hundreds of infographics popping up online. Some are excellent, while others are so poor that they can make you want to give your screen a lethal Hadouken. Trust me, I’ve been there. However, it’s pretty easy to see at first glance which are worth taking a look at, and which you’ll be able to pull some valuable and fun information from.

With that said, here are some great infographics that you may have missed recently in between refreshing your Facebook feed.

#1: History of the Batmobile

You can Google it if you have doubts, but the Batmobile is one of the most iconic things in the history of the universe, up there with the Super Nintendo. In this infographic, you’ll be given a closer look at the history of Batman’s whip over the past several decades, some of which Robin had the pleasure of riding shotgun in, which is pretty cool if you ask me.

This graphic not only covers the designs of each model, but also cost comparisons and a face-off between the Batmobiles from 1966 and 2005. Hasbro should sue Batman, in my opinion, because that 1939 ride looks like it’s about to buy up Park Place and Boardwalk.

#2: US Olympic Wrestling Legends – Blood, Sweat, and Glory

Coming from Worldwide Sport Supply, this infographic profiles outstanding Olympians who represented the United States with their blood, sweat, and tears. This even dates back to a time when Teddy Roosevelt was President, so you know the research put into this is good.

On this infographic, you’ll learn about some of the all-time greats, including information on the University they wrestled for, the Awards won throughout their careers, and even some fun facts on them, like how Jack Van Bebber’s nickname was “Blackjack.” Fierce.

While it’s a great and informative infographic, there’s one big omission – where is Kurt Angle? For those that don’t know, he won the Olympic Gold Medal with a broken freakin’ neck in Atlanta (1996). Even more impressive to some, he once beat The Rock for the WWF Championship. For that alone, he deserves to be on every sports-related infographic ever.

#3: Is The Era Of Fast Food Ending?

He might not admit it, but Ronald McDonald fears healthy food. When he hears the word ‘organic,’ his red and yellow knees shake and his pants become soaked. This infographic from EuroClinix takes a closer look at the era of fast food possibly ending, as more people are realizing that heart attacks can actually kill you.

It’s a real informative and well-done infographic, even explaining what terms like free-range and organic really mean. As this infographic outlines, the public is smartening up, and heading in a more healthy direction.

Basically, fast food restaurants need to change their game up, or you’re going to be seeing Grimace and the Hamburglar out there on the streets of McDonaldland bumming cigarettes and asking for change – not a good situation.

#4: The League of Extraordinary Hair – Take 2

Many people over the years have had pretty killer hair. This infographic showcases some of those hairstyles, with the ‘dos of world renowned legends like Cousin Itt and Alfalfa.

For the most part, this graphic is pretty cut and dry (get it?), showing you some neat hair, along with who is belongs to and what television show or film they appeared in.

Featuring 45 different hairstyles, it covers both old and new characters that you’re familiar with, like Scooby Doo’s Velma Dinkley and Gotham’s Oswald ‘Penguin’ Cobblepott. Cobblepott has great hair, but it’s unfortunately wasted on a terrible show. Cancel it.

#5: Best of Bond – 007’s Greatest Gadgets Through the Ages

Over the years, there have been been several films in the James Bond series, with multiple actors being placed into the role. In fact, since the Buffalo Bills last made the playoffs, there have been multiple Bonds across five different films – amazing!

This graphic gives you a detailed look at Agent 007’s best gadgets over the years, like his Laser Rifle and Radioactive Lint (what?). Anyone that grew up in the ’90s like myself has a soft spot for Goldeneye too, which is featured on this infographic, because its video game counterpart put the Nintendo 64 on the map.

The realism in it was ground-breaking at the time, as you would shoot the enemy in the shoulder and he would grab his kneecap. Also, it was fun planting proximity mines in the bathroom stalls at the Facility. You did it too, don’t lie.

#6: The Top 10 Pay-Per-View Fights Of All Time

This infographic was put out right before the recent snoozer between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, and it looks at the top Pay-Per-Views fights ever. It’s important to note that this only covers boxing, because if it covered everything, Hulk Hogan selling out the Pontiac Silverdome with 93,000,000,000 people would be at the top of this thing.

Either way, some of Boxing’s greatest bouts ever are featured here, including information on the payouts, even down to the minute. For example, in the 1997 rumble where Mike Tyson was disqualified for munching on Evander Holyfield’s ear, he was paid $3,333,333 per minute.

It’s one thing to get paid to eat, but it’s another to make that much doing it – pretty impressive. What would the Pay-Per-View buys have been for Mike Tyson versus Little Mac?

Clearly, Novastor listens to the people. Here, you’ll learn about things like spam filters, blacklists, and the do’s and don’ts of emailing, with every element containing plenty of great information.

Also featured on this graphic is a section about the Spam-ish Inquisition. Get it? It’s like the Spanish inquisition, but the word ‘spam’ is worked in there. I don’t know about you, but I laughed. Retweet if you chuckled.

Today, more than 90% of employers are recruiting their next superstars through social media, and according to this infographic, recruiters typically spend only six seconds looking at your LinkedIn profile, spending 19% of that (so accurate) looking at your beautiful mug.

You’ll also learn that the human face can make more than 10,000 slightly different expressions. Incredible!

#9: Strange Laws Around The World

Always respect the local laws, no matter how ridiculous they may be. This humorous infographic profiles 18 strange laws, which are either strictly enforced or typically ignored, depending on what and where it is. Did you know that in Singapore, it’s against the law to import chewing gum? They care about it too – unbelievable.

One law in Kentucky, which isn’t that enforced, says that you can’t keep ice cream in your back pocket. Think about this – if someone had to actually spend time out of their day to come up with that law, it’s because at one point, there were people walking around with ice cream in their pockets. Savages.
