A special edition of our subscriber newsletter from September 2014.
Google's Panda Updates have been rolled into standard algorithm changes for some time now, but Panda 4.1 rolled out on Friday, September 26th and it's a big enough deal that Google confirmed its arrival for us. This newest update will inevitably mean improvements for some and tough times for others.
The good news is that this newest update is intended to help high-quality small and medium-sized sites achieve better, more competitive, rankings with the bigger brands that seem to have been dominating the SERPS. This also presents an opportunity for those sites affected by previous Panda updates, who have been working hard to counteract that impact, to finally see those efforts pay off.
The downside, is that any sites with at-risk content or other weak signals may start to see a downward trend in rankings and traffic. If you suspect your site has been negatively affected by Panda 4.1, we can help.
If you're a current client at IMN, our team is diligently monitoring the analytics of all of our clients as we speak. If we see anything of concern your account manager will be in touch. If you're looking for more information on Panda 4.1 here are some great sources for insight and discussion.
