This is Google’s program for content creators and publishers that allows them to place targeted online text or display ads next to their content and generate revenue. It allows users to manage advertising and review reporting data linked to those ads. These ads are automatic for the publisher, but maintained and administered by Google.
There are three types of AdSense: for content, for search and for video. AdSense for content can be targeted based on cost per click (CPC) or impressions and they can appear in a variety of text, image, video and other formats. AdSense for search exists within site search. AdSense for video allows publishers of video content to monetize using a variety of ad formats, including pre-roll and post-roll linear video ads, overlay ads, and others.
