Jim Boykin

Founder and CEO

Jim Boykin is the founder and CEO of Internet Marketing Ninjas (formerly We Build Pages). Jim was born and raised in Upstate NY, where he has built a reputation as a leader in the SEO industry.

Jim originally launched We Build Pages in 1999 as a one-man web design company. However, Jim's inherent knowledge of search engines led to IMN developing into one of the world's most well-known and trusted link building agencies. When Jim isn't in his office to 2:00AM, he loves spending time with his two sons and thoroughly enjoys going to concerts. Jim also proudly supports many local causes and gives back to the community through philanthropic endeavors.

Kris Jones

Chairman

As Chairman of Internet Marketing Ninjas, Kris advises the company regarding overall business strategy, including M&A opportunities, growth into new markets and products, and executive recruitment and retainment. Jones, Founder, Former President, and CEO of Pepperjam; which received notoriety three consecutive years by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing, privately owned companies in the US, and which was later sold and then acquired by eBay, has been involved in the growth and development of several companies. He is well respected in the search engine and affiliate marketing community as an innovative leader and pioneer of effective Internet marketing strategies. Speaking at industry conferences and events, including SES and PubCon, Jones frequently shares his business and Internet marketing expertise and is also the best-selling author of Search Engine Optimization: Your Visual Blueprint for Effective Internet Marketing (Wiley Publishing).

Chris Boggs

Chief Marketing Officer

Chris is a proven commodity in the search space with over 13 years’ experience in online marketing across major industries, working as a consultant and as a leader within large digital agencies. His advanced internet marketing qualifications are steeped in Search Engine Optimization. Since 2005 he has written numerous educational articles and spoken regularly at major marketing conferences, which have enabled him to network and brainstorm with many experts across digital marketing. This has led Chris over the past 3 years to focus on the integration of marketing efforts with desirable user experience and conversion goals, across both online and offline channels.

Chris shares his passion of digital marketing in a number of capacities, and is on the Search Engine Strategies Advisory Board, the Board of Directors of SEMPO (current Chair), and a founding member of the Internet Marketers of New York. In his early years he participated extensively at Search Engine Watch Forums, and enjoys sharing ideas and disagreements with other marketers through as many mediums as possible.

Kimberly Krause Berg

Usability & User Interface Analyst,
Founder & Administrator, Cre8asiteforums

From her first web site design for a friend in 1995, to freelancing as "Cre8pc" in search engine optimization by night and handling the design and marketing of 13 web sites for a high-tech magazine publisher by 1997, Kim is well known as one of the early pioneers in the Search Engine Marketing industry. As a User Interface Engineer for Verticalnet in 2000, she was invited to be trained in Internet Software Application QA functional testing, where she was mentored in Human Factors and developed usability testing methods for online applications and web site design. All the while she freelanced and taught organic SEO. In 2002, she started her own consulting business, Cre8pc.com, where she developed web site testing and audits that blended SEO, usability, accessibility, information architecture, site architecture, emotional and persuasive design and business requirements. Kim founded Cre8asiteforums.com in 1998. In addition to speaking at conferences, offering training workshops and writing for all the top industry magazines, web sites and her blog, Kim is a tutor for the Search Engine College, where she teaches web site usability. Kim is responsible for the administration and community support for Cre8asiteforums and working with the Internet Marketing Ninjas' analytics team in developing additional strategies and testing methodology in usability, accessibility, conversions and Human Factors, as well as functional testing for shopping carts and all online applications. Community and Brand Manager

As Community and Brand manager, Ann Smarty’s work is focused on both regularly contributing to the Internet Marketing Ninjas blog and serving as an internal SEO resource for the team. Ann Smarty has been involved in various high-profile roles in the SEO industry for more than seven years. Her background includes working as Editor-in-Chief at Search Engine Journal and being a regular columnist at some of best-known Internet Marketing online publications including SEOmoz, Mashable, Social Media Examiner and more. Ann's search and social experience ranges from content creation and social media marketing to SEO reporting and consulting. Ann's expertise in Internet Marketing tools also helps in internal tool development and testing process.

Senior Marketing Analyst

Joe is the Senior Marketing Analyst at Internet Marketing Ninjas. He works closely with the IMN client analysis team to identify critical caveats to marketing initiatives and strategies. Using a diverse background in web development, SEO, and social media; Joe is able to advise clients on superior marketing campaigns and tactics. In the past Joe has owned and ran several internet brands which has given him the unique perspective of a business owner. This experience translates well to clients that require strategies that go beyond the traditional agency point of view.

Bonnie Stefanick

Director of Consulting

Bonnie is the Director of Consulting at Internet Marketing Ninjas, leading a multi-talented team that does it all: SEO analysis, conversion analysis, as well as analytics and PPC auditing. Bonnie and her team create search strategies for Internet Marketing Ninjas clients to help improve traffic, and visibility, in search engines as well as create strategies to maximize conversions from existing traffic. She also leads the site auditing process, identifying problems and areas of opportunity both on page and off page and across various traffic sources. Bonnie blogs on the topics of industry news, SEO strategy, information retrieval, SEO tools, and conversion.

Before joining Internet Marketing Ninjas, Bonnie honed her public sector skills in the areas of legislative information services and planning. Bonnie holds a dual B.A, Magna Cum Laude, in Public Administration from Rockefeller School of Public Policy and Administration and in Philosophy from SUNY University at Albany. She has completed graduate work in the philosophy of artificial languages and is a member of the Digital Analytics Association.

Jennifer Van Iderstyne

Sales & Marketing Manager

At Internet Marketing Ninjas, Jennifer Van Iderstyne is the sales and marketing manager responsible for client retention, account management and overall customer satisfaction. In her free time, she also works on marketing and conference planning. Jen is a native upstate New Yorker. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Politics with minors in acting and communications at the State University of New York at Postsdam. She began her career working in public policy, but her affinity for the internet drew her to Internet Marketing Ninjas in 2006. Since then she has become an SEO specialist with a focus on link building and content development strategy. She writes a regular column on Search Engine Watch and has been a guest blogger on a number of other industry websites.

Chris Sullivan

Business Development Manager

Chris Sullivan joined the Internet Marketing Ninjas team in 2007 and is responsible for sales, client development, and growth opportunities for the company. Chris works closely with the SEO and support staff to organize campaigns tailored towards each client's individual needs and to ensure goals and expectations are met on a continual basis. You'll be working with Chris or a member of his team in the early stages of developing or refining an Internet marketing strategy for your business and deciding how IMN can best assist you in the execution stages of the project. Before joining Internet Marketing Ninjas, Chris graduated from Siena College with a degree in Marketing and Management, and came to IMN with a background in affiliate marketing. Working under Jim Boykin for over 5 years in roles ranging from link ninja to SEO analyst and team lead has allowed Chris to gain & share extensive knowledge of developing an organic search campaign with a clear vision and results-driven focus. In his free time, Chris enjoys traveling and spending time with family & friends.


Suzy Gray

Social Media Manager

Suzy is involved in both the hands-on management and strategy creation of each social media campaign at Internet Marketing Ninjas. She assists clients in developing and executing social media campaigns that increase social authority in search engines, build a brand identity, and establish a consistent share of voice in the social landscape. You'll work with Suzy to develop a custom social media campaign that meets your needs, whether your goals are to create an outlet for streamlined customer service, increase your traffic and rankings, or build a community of brand ambassadors. Suzy has held many positions at Internet Marketing Ninjas since joining the company in 2007, and prior to joining IMN she worked in public relations at a Manhattan-based firm. She graduated from Marist College in 2006. In her spare time, Suzy can be found perfecting a new cupcake recipe or reading a good book.


Heather McIntyre

Content Creation Services Team Lead

As the Content Creation Services Team Lead, Heather is responsible for client-direct content creation and facilitates content orders from start to finish. She and the editing staff work diligently to ensure that each piece of content meets the highest quality and SEO standards. You may work or come into contact with Heather when ordering one of our many content creation services, including SEO optimized content, cornerstone content, premium SEO content, or blog writing. Heather has been a member of the Internet Marketing Ninjas’ content creation team for over two and a half years. When not in the office, she can be found hiking and geocaching throughout Upstate New York.


Christopher Labatt-Simon

Chief Innovation Officer

As Chief Innovation Officer, Chris is responsible for managing innovation processes inside Internet Marketing Ninjas and identifying strategies and new technologies to enhance and augment existing business processes and goals. As the leader of the creative department, the application development department and the information technology department, Chris is focused on understanding how information and processes can be better utilized to improve Internet Marketing Ninjas's customer experience. In addition, Chris leads the Merger & Acquisition functions, and post-acquisition integration functions, within the organization. Prior to holding this position with Internet Marketing Ninjas, Chris was the CEO of one of the largest fast-growth information technology companies in upstate New York and led its sale to a New York City based private equity firm. If you can't find him at the office, you may find him on his sailboat heading to some exotic destination.
